Working Group 4’s Drone Survey

Working Group 4 had recently done a drone survey in Bangkok, Thailand. The activity itself was completed over 7 days, from 26th to 29th November 2025 and 3rd to 5th December 2025.

We strive to strictly follow local regulations, such as flying the drone mostly at 90 metres altitude to comply with CAAT regulations. In addition, we also responded and reported to the daily check-up from the anti-drone police unit and local police officers.

The majority of the drone footage came from stationary drone observation from 2 points: Henri-Dunant Int. North Leg and Convent Int. on Sathon Road. Two stationary-drone-flight parameters, including the tilt angle of the camera and altitudes of operation, were varied on the first two days. Furthermore, experimental moving-drone flights were conducted for computer-vision research conducted by a Bachelor’s Student of the Computer Engineering program from Chulalongkorn University.
